Week 6 - Half Way Ther

Its Week 6 for Chelmsford/Witham/Tiptree 
We are half way through our current challenges and the results are fantastic. People losing body fat, visceral fat, cms and hydration has increased :-) Theres some happy people out there with their journey so far...

Exercise


Love it or hate it - Exercise is important, those small little changes soon add up.  So instead of driving to the local shop WALK.  Take the stairs instead of the lift. Why not try some lunges in the add breaks during your fav TV programme.  Walk the kids to school/Preschool - just a few small simple changes but they add up.  Spring is on its way so we have no excuses - Warmer weather/lighter evenings!!

Food Diarys, love them or hate them, they are here to help.  What goes in your mouth is written on the food diary :-)  Our job is to help and advise you should you be eating any naughty foods, not enough protein, too many carbs or if your on the Herbalife Weightloss Programme then we know if your not taken your supplement, not having enough protein - I think you get the picture but seriously they are there to help you.   We want the best results for you and we know you do too - LETS DO THIS as your all winners in our eyes x

Week 2 at Tiptree Community Weightloss Challenge

What a FANTASTIC week, Last night the group lost in total after there FIRST WEEK a staggering 61.2lbs in weight yes 61.2lbs thats 61 of these nasty fellas...


This week we covered the importance of Protein in our diets.


Protein is essentially the building blocks for life, it enables the body to grow and repair itself.
Protein also helps to maintain/build lean muscle mass and increase metabolism
Lean muscle mass decreases as we age so it is important to exercise with the right amount of protein intake.  Muscle mass requires more energy than fat to stay lean so has higher fat burning properties.
Protein will also keep you feeling fuller and also irons out the blood sugars highs and lows for example -  you experience after eating  sweets/biscuits etc, so always reach for a protein snack rather than a quick fix sweet/biscuits as all that will happen is your want another and another.
Protein snacks should be balanced, looking forward to seeing what everyone brings into class next week - did they pay attention..... Time will tell :-)
